        Malavan or Malwan is a town and taluka in the Sindhudurg district. The southernmost district of Maharashtra State, India. In addition, it is well known for the historically important Sindhudurg State. Malvan taluka includes villages like AnganeWadi masure, Achra, Khalchi Devli, Jamdul, Juva, Pankhol, Talasheel, and Sarjekot, for instance.

DEMOGRAPHICS-

The main occupation of people here is fishing and agriculture. As a result, the staple diet of the local people is fish curry and rice. However, This town produces Alphanso mangoes. It is also known for sweets such as Malvani Khaja. Its made by using gram-besan flour. Above all, It also coated jaggery and Malvani Ladoos. Other sweets that attract tourists are Konkani meva, Aambawadi, Fanaspoli, dry fruits, Kajuwadi, Naralachya Wadya, and Malvani Masala.

        This is the basic introduction of Malavan you hear from most people outside from Malavan. In addition, My experience of malvan is a whole different story. Firstly, I went there in last month. We all want to enjoy the beautiful beaches after the long covid lockdown. therefore, I think it totally worth it because there are some key attractions in Malavan taluka.

Devbag Beach malavan- 

Devbag beach is the southern beach situates 12 km away from malvan. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in sindhudurg district.

Sindhudurg Fort –

Sindhudurg Fort is known as a historical fort that occupies an island in the Arabian Sea, just off the coast of Maharashtra in Western India. The fort was built by king Shivaji.

Tarkarli –

Tarkarli a village in Malvan taluka, Sindhudurg district is the most beautiful beach in Maharashtra. Therefore, It’s a beach destination and remote place in southern places.

Jai Ganesh Mandir-

In this temple, Ganesh Utsav, Datta Jayanti, and other festivities are celebrated by people. After that, The residence where they resided is now known as Laxmibai Dagdusheth Halwai Sansthan Datta Mandir Trust.

Arse Mahal Beach-

The Arse Mahal looks beautiful and on the Rocky Shore of Malavan. Similarly, Jai Ganesh Mandir Arse Mahal Beach Tondavali Beach (19 km North of Malvan) Achara Beach 22 km north.

It’s the coast of Western India. As a result, The area’s beaches contain Sindhudurg fort, Tarkarli beach, Mobar point, Chivla beach, Tondavali beach, which all attract tourists.

Rameshwar Temple Malavan-

It is situated in Aakeri. Sawantwadi Shri Dev Rameshwar Temple (16th Century) Rameshwar. Girye-Vijaydurg Shree Dev Rameshwar Temple, Achara Bhalchandra Maharaj Ashram is there.

Waingani malavan :

 Many annual festivals are organized here. Waingani has situated 10 km from Malavan city and 40 km from Kankavali. Similarly, There is a Waingani Beach. After that, Devbaug Beach placed 12 km south of Malavan this temple.
